Specialists in South African private credit.
Greenpoint is an established private credit fund manager providing structured, non-dilutive capital to South African mid-market businesses, with a disciplined focus on protecting and compounding investor capital over the long term.

Greenpoint has been investing in South African private credit since 2011.
As an early institutional participant in the local private credit market, we have built a specialist platform around a simple principle: capital can be flexible in how it is structured without compromising the discipline with which it is underwritten and managed.
We originate, structure and manage bespoke credit investments for established and growing businesses, often where conventional funding does not fit the opportunity, capital structure or required timeframe. Our team remains actively engaged throughout the life of each investment, with a focus on cash-flow resilience, appropriate security, downside protections and pragmatic solutions when circumstances change.
Behind the investment activity sits a fund-management and operating capability developed over many years, supporting governance, administration, investor reporting and portfolio oversight to institutional standards.

History
Building an institutional private credit platform.
Since establishing its private credit strategy in 2011, Greenpoint has grown into an established specialist platform in the South African market. The scale, team and capabilities of the business have evolved significantly, while the principles at its core have remained consistent: disciplined credit selection, specialist structuring, active portfolio management and a long-term approach to relationships.

Process before instinct.
For Greenpoint, governance is part of the investment process rather than an overlay. New investments and material amendments are all subject to defined internal review and Investment Committee processes, supported by independent oversight, formal risk controls and disciplined portfolio monitoring.
Strong governance, clear accountability and prudent credit practices are fundamental to how we protect investor capital and support sustainable outcomes for the businesses we finance.
